The First Press Weekend of Wine, now in its eighth year, is the Southwest's premier celebration of fine and rare wines.
The weekend's centerpiece event is the First Press Fine Wine Auction, an evening of gourmet dining paired with the finest wines; a fabulous silent auction offering luxury dining, entertainment and travel packages; live entertainment and the highlight event: a live auction of rare and collectible vintages – donations from private cellars and fine wine vintners from around the world. Vintners from distinguished wineries will host corporate and individually sponsored VIP tables, serving their wines to their guests, and offer tastings of their vintages at the pre-function reception.
This year's First Press Weekend of Wine will once again feature the First Press Grand Tasting as the kickoff event on Friday evening. An event unlike any other in the Valley, the Grand Tasting gives attendees the opportunity to experience an exhilarating variety of wines paired with gourmet food. While guests taste the finest wines, the Food Fight returns as two of the Valley's finest chefs battle it out in culinary combat to claim the championship plate.
